Argolida is a prefecture of Eastern Peloponnese, bordering to the south by the Gulf of Argolis and to east by the Saronic Gulf. Bordered to the north by the prefecture of Corinthia and the west and south by the province of Arcadia. Its capital is the city of Nafplio. Important sites include the county is Argos, Mycenae (ancient Greek al Mycenae), Epidaurus, Mermpaka (Agia Triada Argolida) and Tolo. Divided into three provinces.
